Rotary tech. tournament attracts 11 local schools

Once again, we had a cracking day at the Technology Tournament for local schools held at Parkstone Grammar School and sponsored by Coda, a marketing agent for local businesses.

Designed to encourage and stimulate young people to develop their skills in science, technology, engineering and mathematics, the event was one of the best yet; with 120 pupils engaged in making coin sorters.

Teams of four pupils, made up of pairs from different schools; designed, built and tested their own ways to sort coins.

The teams competed in three groups: Foundation Level (sorting for 2 coins); Intermediate Level (sorting for 3 coins); and Advanced Level (sorting for 4 coins).

As the video attests, a fun time was had by all!
