We're at the Poole Boat Show!

And it's all about Pirates, Castways & Codfish

Yes, we've taken a stand at the Poole Boat Show (8-10 June) this year to share some of the findings from our Poole Maritime Heritage project.  We've been taking another look at Poole's history between 1580 and 1730

  • You'll find us on stand WR05 - on The Quay, towards the lifting bridge end, very appropriately opposite the end of Bennett's Alley

  • Test your knowledge with our quiz on Old Poole

  • Pick up a leaflet

  • Discover more the three characters who launched this project:  Admiral Sir Thomas Button, Captain John Bennett and Govermor Woodes Rogers

  • Find out about two very special events (see below)

  • During the early afternoon, on Saturday and Sunday, there's even a chance for the kids to make their very own pirate ship !
